Six killer Australian artists:
Dead Letter Circus: simply put, they are the band who were the trigger for me. The Mile (off Dead Letter Circus’ 2007 EP) put me on to so many other bands. I booked them on a show in 2006 in Rockhampton, saw them play Alien and that was it. Dead Letter Circus on Facebook.
Twelve Foot Ninja: I can’t fault them on their live show, their songs, their business sense, their astuteness about what they do. Their straight up commitment to quality and honesty about their art is just perfect. Twelve Foot Ninja on Facebook.
Sydonia: Sydonia are about to record perhaps the heaviest record they have ever done and I am super excited about the future for those guys. It’s going to be KILLER. Sydonia on Facebook.
Hands Like Houses: I have to admit, I am late to the party on these dudes, but F**K they write massive tunes. Hands Like Houses on Facebook.
Karnivool: Karnivool are the band that cemented my love of Australian heavy/prog/alternative. If you don’t love Karnivool, I am not sure we can be pals. Karnivool on Facebook.
Polaris: These dudes have a BRIGHT, BRIGHT future. I realised just how big they could be the second I heard the tracks from the EP in late November last year and the response was massive immediately. They do their direct-to-fan stuff so well. Polaris on Facebook
